Lydia Cook

MRS. LYDIA COOK of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Samuel Cook, passed away peacefully at the Edith Cavell Care Centre on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at the age of 80 years.

Lydia is survived by her daughter Shirley Masnyk, sons; Walter (Judy), George (Jeanette), and Gordon (Christine), grandchildren; Kerri Masnyk, Cheryl (Colin) Cameron, Mike Cook, Carolyn Cook, Samantha Cook, JoAnne Cook, Graham Cook, Hannah Cook, and Amy Cook, her sisters; Dagmar Reich and Sophie Proehl, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Besides her loving husband Samuel, Lydia was predeceased by her parents Oskar and Herta Wuest, son-in-law Joe Masnyk, step-daughter Diane Cook and brothers-in-law Eduard Reich and Adolf Proehl.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00 and 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at IMMANUEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 20 Rocky Mountain Boulevard West, Lethbridge, with Pastor Richard Brown, officiating.

Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
