Lucille Callis-Herbert

MRS. LUCILLE MAE CALLIS-HERBERT of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Mr. Earle Herbert, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at the age of 72 years.

Lucille was born in High River, AB and was raised on a farm near Mossleigh where she also attended school. She married William Callis and had three children Daryl, Linda and Sandy. She began her working career at the Royal Bank in High River, Blackie and then Lethbridge where she retired in the early 90's. Lucille married Earle in 1992 and they enjoyed many trips together. She had a special place in her heart for their dog, Lucky. Lucille loved to garden and she spent lots of time on her computer (Ebay was an addiction). We will miss the card games, chatting on MSN and her wonderful sense of humour.

Besides her loving husband Earle, Lucille is survived by her son Daryl (Wendy) Callis of Wagga Wagga NSW, Australia; daughters Linda Vaykovich of Halifax, NS and Sandy (Allan) Bihari of Lethbridge; step children Tom (Linda) Herbert and Kim (Chris) Nielsen; grandchildren Lachlan Callis, Mike, Danny and Megan Vaykovich, Tyler, Evan and Joel Herbert and Megan and Adam Nielsen. She was predeceased by her parents Tom and Helen Hathaway and her first husband William Callis.

A Memorial Reception will be held from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge.
