Lucien Beaudin

MR. LUCIEN JOSEPH BEAUDIN of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Monday, July 6, 2009 at the age of 88 years.

Lucien was born of July 28, 1920 in St. Paul, Alberta. He will be lovingly remembered by his eleven children; Maurice (Alicia) Beaudin, Andy (Wendy) Beaudin, Laurent (Diane) Beaudin, Marie (Harry) Schoorlemmer, Jocelyn (Barry) Schmidt, Raymond (Pat) Beaudin, Denis (Penny) Beaudin, Carole (Rob) Morrison, Bernard (Teresa) Beaudin, Lorraine (Lon Carlson) Beaudin, Albert (Lisa) Beaudin, his thirty-two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Lucien is also survived by his sisters Lina Beaudin and Antoinette Pomerleau, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

He was predeceased by his parents Joseph Wilfred and Marie Geraldine Beaudin, his brother Florien Beaudin, and his brother-in-law Roland Pomerleau.

Lucien was above all things a farmer, a gardener, and an environmentalist. He wasted nothing, and the best way to honour his memory would be to plant something new, or to compost, and to be careful about what you throw away.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staffs at the Blue Sky Lodge, the G.A.R.U. Unit at the Chinook Regional Hospital, and the Coaldale Health Centre. Thank you to all Health Care Staff for your compassionate care.

Everyone is invited to Vigil Rites (Prayers) at 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERIVEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge.
A Family Mass will take place at a later date.
