 Lorie Jacobsen of Lethbridge passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on August 21st, 2026, after a three-year battle with ALS.

She is survived by her husband Lyle “Jake” Jacobsen of Lethbridge; daughter Karena Jacobsen of Lethbridge; daughter Melisa (Colin) Dea of Edmonton; mother Donalda Stock of Lethbridge; sister Deneen (Eddy) Bisschop of Raymond; niece Alisha Levesque, and nephew Zachary Levesque of Raymond, father-in-law Øystein of Prince Albert, brother-in-law Myron (Joan), and their family of Prince Albert, and sister-in-law Loraine (Cory) Knutson and their family of Naicam.

She was predeceased by her father, David Stock, and mother-in-law Marit Jacobsen.

Lorie had many careers, including as an airline ticket agent, career advisor, and agent with Service Canada, and she was an avid volunteer with city council, gymnastics clubs, school boards, and the ALS Society. She loved to travel: she visited Hawaii, Portugal, Cuba, Norway, Alaska, Costa Rica, Spain, the British Virgin Islands, and many more destinations.

Lorrie spent her summers camping at the lake, and her winters cheering on (and driving around) her daughters, and scrapbooking everything along the way.

A celebration of life will be held at the Italian Canadian Cultural Centre, 1511 St Edward Blvd N, Lethbridge, AB, on August 29, 2026. The Celebration will be from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Speeches will start at 2:30 PM; light refreshments will be served after the speeches.
