The REVEREND LLOYD RUSSELL AGNEW passed away peacefully on his 89th birthday on November 20, 2007. Lloyd was predeceased by his youngest son, Kenneth (Betty-Lou), in 2004.
Lloyd is survived by his loving wife Eleanor of 64 years, children David (Ellen), Robert, Margaret and Catherine, grandchildren Douglas, Cassandra, David, Annora, Jeffrey (Candice), Bradley, Kerry and Russell; great-granddaughter Crystal and sister Evelyn.
Lloyd served his country during World War II as an aircraft Navigator then Pilot with the Royal Air Force Ferry Command, based in Montreal, Quebec. In 1943 he married the love of his life, Eleanor, in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
Lloyd's call to the ministry came when they were living in Saskatoon where he completed his Theology Degree at St. Andrews College. He served as a Minister in several pastoral charges with the United Church of Canada in Western Canada. When it was time to retire, he and Eleanor moved to Lethbridge.
A memorial service to celebrate the Life of Lloyd will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, November 26, 2007 at McKILLOP UNITED CHURCH, 2329 - 15 Ave South, Lethbridge, with Reverend Terry Shillington officiating.
Those who wish, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
