Lillian Callaghan

LILLIAN CALLAGHAN, our beloved mother, was gently delivered into the arms of her Creator on June 8, 2009 in Lethbridge, Alberta, at the age of 83, after a long and courageous struggle.

Lil, or 'Doris' as she was known to her brothers and sisters, was born in Dryden, Ontario in 1925, to the late George Dagg and Lillian Franklin.
Lil was predeceased by her husband, DAN CALLAGHAN, and her beloved sons TIM and KEITH; brothers GERALD and GEORGE, sisters FLO, BEA and MARG, and also by her long-time partner William Anderson.

She is survived by children, TOM Callaghan (Sue) of Lethbridge, Alberta, CAROL Carruthers (Gerald) of Lethbridge and JANN Callaghan Cullen (Francis) of Surrey, B.C.; brothers ED Franklin (Eve) and FRANK Dagg (Bev) and sister MURIEL Powell. She leaves behind 12 Grandchildren, Kurt; Karrie, Kellie, Penny, Dan; Myra, Tim, Cody; Shanna, Casey, Rory, and Seán; 9 Great Grandchildren, Thomas, Shianne, Dakota, Sierra, Jordan, Kayla, Keisha, Quianna and Lillianah, and one Great Great Grandchild.

Her family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Aaron Coma, Sister Ivy, and the incredible, compassionate staff at St. Michael's Palliative Care. At Lil's request, there will not be a Memorial Service. Her remains will be brought back to Fort Frances, Ontario for burial near her husband and sons.
