Lesley Valentine

April 8, 1940 - June 23, 2010

LES, beloved husband of Joan Valentine, passed away at St. Michael's Health Centre surrounded by his family, following a lengthy illness on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at the age of 70 years.

Les was born in Regina, Saskatchewan. His family moved to Lethbridge and Les finished his schooling at L.C.I. He went to work for Wyatt Electric where he took his apprenticeship as an electrician. His career took him to many cities in Canada, USA, as well as Algeria, Nigeria, Taiwan, and Libya. In his early years Les played hockey, baseball and football. Les loved to tease and most of all he loved his family.

He is survived by his loving wife Joan. He will be remembered by his seven girls; Roxanne (Darren), Carmen (Mark), Wendy (John), Leslie (Bill), Deborah (Bill), Shirley (Ainsley, Jaclyn), Jo-Anna (Jim) and Victoria (Jared), along with his sister and best friend Judy (Harold), sister-in-law Anne Valentine (Jim), 19 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will at held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at SOUTHMINSTER UNITED CHURCH, 1011 4th Avenue South, Lethbridge, with Reverend Lois Punton, officiating.
