Leonhard "Leo" Neunzig

Mr. Leonhard “Leo” Neunzig of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Gertrud Neunzig, passed away peacefully with family present at St. Michael’s Palliative Care Centre on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the age of 86 years.

Leo is survived by his daughters Doreen Buytels (Tom Wall), Karen (Rod) Davis; son Gary (Margaret) Neunzig; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-granchildren; sisters Elizabeth and Hanna; brother Willi; sisters- in-law Erna Seidel, Elfriede Scheu and Reinhild (Peter) Wigand.

Besides his loving wife Gertrud, Leo was predeceased by brothers Christian, Hans; sisters Gertrud, Grete, Agnes, Anna, and Maria; brother- in -law Richard; sister- in- law Anneliese.

Leo was born in Pulheim, Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1953. Dad worked for CP Rail for 30+ years and in his retirement, he enjoyed camping, and spending time with his family. He was a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 1:30pm at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610- 4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Pastor Rodger Halvorsen officiating. Family and friends are invited to pay their final respects one hour prior to the service. Leo will be laid to rest in the Mountain View Cemetery, next to his beloved wife.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Michael’s Health Centre, 1400-9th Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta T1H 0A1.
