Leona Ross

LEONA ""LEE"" FRANCES (nee CAMPBELL) ROSS, our wonderful wife, mother and grandmother Leona, born March 9, 1934 in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, passed away after a brief illness, at the Chinook Regional Hospital, Lethbridge, Alberta on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at the age of 76 years.

Leona is survived by her loving and devoted husband Don; their daughter Donna Lee (Gordon) Strom, son John (Dolores), and daughter Barbara (Gerald) Harbers. Also left behind to remember her are four grandchildren Patrick and LeeAnne Gerz, and Timothy and Thomas Ross.

Leona will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sisters Kay Christie, Alexis Campbell, Pat (Bud) Chura, Genevieve (Clint) Connors, and Pauline (Al) Buda, her brother Michael (Jeannie) Campbell, sisters-in-law Annette Campbell and Lorna Ross, brother-in-law William McMullin and numerous nieces and nephews.

Leona was predeceased by her parents Michael and Genevieve Campbell, baby sister Margaret, brother Ronald Campbell, sister Eunice McMullin, brothers-in-law Joe Christie and Jack Ross, sister-in-law Almeda Lacombe and by her eldest grandson Scott Grimes.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:30pm, on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the CHRIST TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 416 - 12 St., S., Lethbridge, Alberta, with Pastor Jason Anderson officiating. Interment will take place in Calgary at a later date.

The family wishes to express their thanks to Lethbridge EMS, Drs. Herbert and McDermott and the staff of Unit 4C of the Chinook Regional Hospital for their exceptional care of Leona.
