Leishman 1926 ~ 2013

MRS. MARGARET LEISHMAN passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the age of 86 years. She was predeceased by her husband Blaine and three siblings. Margaret is survived by her sister Janet Claire Best; her son Craig (Arlene) and two children Cari and Steven (Mandy); her daughter Judy (Ken) and three sons Christopher (Daisy), Michael, and Matthew (Leslie).

Margaret was born and raised in the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia. She trained as a nurse at the Children's Hospital in Halifax. Margaret and her sister Claire travelled across Canada eventually working in Magrath, where she met and married Blaine Leishman. They lived on the ranch at Del Bonita for almost thirty years, retiring in 1980. Margaret and Blaine spent their retirement golfing with friends and travelling south for the winter months. After Blaine's passing, Margaret moved to Burnaby to be close to her sisters. Although the last three years of her life were affected by Alzheimer's, Margaret enjoyed her life and will always be remembered for her loving kindness and her sense of humor.

The Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, March 25, 2013 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL | 610- 4th Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta with Reverend Bob Wallace officiating.
