It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence Unser at the age of 77. Lawrence passed away peacefully at St Michael’s Palliative Care Centre with Sharna holding his hand.
Lawrence was born March 2, 1949, in Brooks, Alberta, the youngest of 12 children.
Lawrence will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sharna, his children Lori and Gary, and grandsons Nicholas, Sylar and Soren. He is also survived by his four sisters: Kathy Vaselenak, Dorothy Kriel (Ralph), Lorraine Unser, and Julia Dickie.
He will be sadly missed by everyone for his kind and caring heart. He was devoted to his family and loved fishing, golf, gardening and baking.
Lawrence’s family wish to thank his family doctor, Dr Michael Cunningham; Lawrence’s hospice team led by Dr Deonne Walsh; Lethbridge Home Care; and the palliative care team at St Michael’s Health Centre.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, July 24, 2026, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL - 610 4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta.
