Krista Heidinger

MRS. KRISTA HEIDINGER of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Jared Heidinger, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at the age of 34 years.

Krista was born June 3, 1975 in Calgary, Alberta to Barry and Elizabeth Robson. She attended school in Calgary, and obtained her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees from the University of Lethbridge. Krista had a passion for basketball, playing with the Pronghorns for four years. She was currently one of the assistant coaches for the team and loved spending time with the girls. In the summers she also coached and directed the NBC Basketball Camps in Olds.

Krista met the love of her life Jared at the University of Lethbridge playing basketball. They were married in 1999 and had three beautiful children, Jaxon (6), Grace (4), and Sophie (1 week). Her family, friends and her relationship with God were everything to her. Krista had a zest for life and made friends wherever she was. Her passion was to share her love of God with everyone. She touched many lives.

Besides her loving husband Jared, Krista is survived by her son Jaxon, her daughters Grace and Sophie, her parents Barry and Elizabeth Robson, her sister Jill (Brett) Allison, her brother Shawn Honeychurch, and her grandmother Violet McManus. She is also survived by her in-laws Darry (Sharon) Heidinger and sister-in-law Nicole (Chris) Running.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, September 4, 2009 at the EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH, 4717 24th Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta with Pastor Ian Lawson and Pastor Sid Koop, officiating. Interment to follow in Mountain View Cemetery.

Those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Jared Heidinger, and dropped off at the University of Lethbridge Athletics Department, or sent to Jared Heidinger, c/o Martin Bros. Funeral Chapels Ltd., 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta T1J 4P3. Donation envelopes will also be available at the Funeral Service and at Martin Bros. Funeral Chapels Ltd. Memorial donations will be used for things that were close to Krista's heart.
