ROBERT “ROB” KERN

1969 ~ 2016

Robert “Rob” Kern of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Tarah E. Kern (nee Moore) passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the age of 47.

Rob was born to his parents Joseph and Anita Kern, in Lethbridge, Rob’s cherished community, where he lived throughout his life.

Rob is survived by Tarah “the love of his life”; his father Joseph 81; brother Mike (Shannon); his children Nicholas Kern 24, daughters Jacey Kern 9, Eliana Kern 6; nephews Scott 23, Shaun 20 as well as numerous other family members who loved him dearly. Rob was predeceased by his mother Anita Kern.

Rob was employed by the University of Lethbridge Sports and Recreation, where he enjoyed fulfilling work and especially his associations with colleagues.

Rob will always be remembered as someone who gained considerable fulfillment in being of service to others as well as providing expert advice on all things, especially associated with cars, wine, food, and audio products.

Above all else, was Rob’s love for his friends and family. He kept his friends close, and his relationships with them was a profound enrichment to his life. At the core of Rob’s life was his family. His love, pride and adoration of his Tarah and his children was boundless and without reservation.

Rob will always be remembered as truly “one of the good guys”. He was so loved, cherished and revered, and he will never be forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 6:00pm – 7:00pm, on Friday, May 20, 2016 at the MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street S., Lethbridge, Alberta.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the McKILLOP UNITED CHURCH, 2329 15th Avenue S., with Reverend Trevor Potter, officiating.
