Kenneth Smallwood

LT. COL. (RET) KENNETH LEBARON MACLEOD SMALLWOOD of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Betty Smallwood, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2010 at the age of 85 years.

Ken was born in Moncton, NB and moved to Ontario in grade six. He is survived by his three children; Elizabeth (Ted) Hunter, W. Norman (Tricia) Smallwood, and Pat (John) Lawton, as well as nineteen grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren.

Ken traveled the world with his family during his twenty seven year military career. He moved into hospital administration in Northern Saskatchewan, which lasted another twelve years. After retirement Ken and Betty lived across the Prairies and BC. He loved change, and loved to spend time with family and friends. Ken is well known for his willingness to help those who need a hand and for his wry sense of humour.

Dad, you will be missed!

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, LETHBRIDGE ALBERTA EAST STAKE, 4105 Forestry Avenue South, Lethbridge, with Bishop Doug Wilde, officiating.

Inurnment at Mountain View Cemetery.
