Mr. Kenneth “Ken” Brookbank of Lethbridge, Alberta, originally from Rosetown, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024, at Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge with family by his side at the age of 96. Ken will always be remembered as a gentle soul who lived his life with kindness and class. His legacy will live on as heroes live in our hearts forever.

Ken was born in Rosetown Union Hospital June 27, 1928 to Gladys and Edgar Brookbank. He married his beloved wife Marguerite Swanston on June 14, 1950. Marguerite predeceased Ken after 67 years of marriage on June 25, 2017.

Ken and Marguerite took over the family farm in 1952 and retired in 1998, at which time they moved to their condo in Rosetown. Ken enjoyed track and field and playing softball in his younger years, curling, and was a member of the Rosetown Kinsmen Club for many years. He enjoyed spending time at Aquadeo Beach on Jackfish Lake in the summer and Mesa Arizona in the winter.

The most important thing in Ken's life was his family. He is survived by his son Murray (Paula) Brookbank and their three sons Leigh (Vikki) Brookbank children Lindy and Rylan; Wade (Betsy) Brookbank children Addie, Kalyn, Connor and Bobby; Sheldon (Lené) Brookbank children Bennett, Asher and Aven; son Don (Barb) Brookbank and their two daughters Jo-Anna (Tobin) Rooney children Teagan, Quinn and Cooper; Julie Brookson children Nolan and Rory; daughter Bonnie (Kelly) Price and their three daughters Lynae (Mark) Schendel children Max and Rhett; Shauna (Dustin) Nehring children Boey and Coda; Kayla (Tyson) Poulin child Nixie; daughter Brenda (Craig) Oman and their children Krista (Darren) Lefebvre children Colter and Lucia; Brett Oman child Sadie; sister Urla (Brookbank) Meckling and brother-in-law Murray (Yvette) Swanston.

A family graveside service will be held at a later date.
