KENNETH PETER GUNN passed away peacefully in Lethbridge, AB on Monday, December 31, 2007 after a long and rich life of 89 years. Ken was predeceased by his wife Olive in 1989 and his brother Edward in 1990. Ken will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughter Doreen of Saskatoon and his sons Barry (Wendy) and their children Jon and Kathleen of Lloydminster and Rob (Karen) and their children Audrey and George of Lethbridge. Ken was born on June 18, 1918 in Otthon, SK and he attended school in Regina and Saskatoon. Ken served as a pilot and 292 Squadron Leader during the Second World War and was stationed throughout England and India.

Ken was very involved in the community throughout his life as a volunteer with numerous organizations including The Abilities Council, The Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association, Camp Easter Seal, Cosmopolitan Industries and the Golden K Kiwanis Club. He was employed at Kelsey Institute for 20 years and acted as Principal for the final 10 years. Ken retired in 1983 and one of his life pleasures was his cabin at Blackstrap Lake where many friends and family were welcomed on a regular basis.

Ken will be remembered for his colorful sense of humor, his volunteerism and his commitment to family. We would like to thank all of the care providers and staff at the Edith Cavell Care Centre in Lethbridge and Diane and staff at the Homestyle Care Home in Saskatoon for their loving care and kindness over the years.

A celebration of Ken's life will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, January 4, 2008 at ACADIA DRIVE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 915 Acadia Drive, Saskatoon, SK S7K 5N4.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Ken's memory to Elmwood Lodge Residences, 2012 Arlington Ave, Saskatoon, SK S7J 2H5.
