MR. KENNETH ""KEN"" ANTHONY SLEZINA of Nanaimo, B.C. beloved father of Tony and Austin Slezina, son of Frank and Angela Slezina, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at the age of 47 years.

Ken was born in Lethbridge on February 25, 1960 to the parents of Frank and Angela Slezina. Ken spent his childhood and teen years on the family farm ""Southholm Angus"" in Readymade, AB while attending school in the Coaldale area. On October 29, 1988 Ken married Jackie Sincennes in Coaldale. This relationship blessed Ken with two wonderful boys, Tony (18yrs) and Austin (14yrs). Both children currently reside in Lethbridge with their mother Jackie. Tony and Austin were the pride of Ken's life, recently celebrating together Tony's high school graduation and Austin's achievements with Cadets.

Ken moved to Nanaimo, B.C. in 2005 and recently purchased a lovely home with his dear friend Kathleen.

Ken lived life to its fullest. Although a dare devil at heart, Ken was a gentle and compassionate man with love for animals and a terrific sense of humor. Ken enjoyed spending time with his boys, listening to music, visiting with friends, dirt biking, golfing and travel to the Kootenay's.

Besides his two sons, parents and dear friend, Ken is survived by his five siblings. Millie (John) Boake of Rocky Mountain House, AB, Fran (Garry) Sartison of Calgary, AB, Gary (Dena) Slezina of Coaldale, AB, Evelyn (Colin) Yackulic of Lethbridge, AB and Lonnie Slezina of Lethbridge, AB; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at the FIRST UNITED CHURCH, 502 - 13th Street North, Lethbridge, with Reverend Elizabeth Brown officiating.
