Katie Douglas

Born on March 8, 1917, KATHERINA (KATIE) MARGARET DOUGLAS of Milk River, beloved wife of the late George A. Douglas, passed away February 12, 2007 at the Milk River Alberta Hospital.

Katie is survived by her daughters Shirley (Cecil) Bianchi of Flat Bush, AB, Fay (Roy) Vossler of Red Cliff, AB, Rodney (Rick) Putzi of Milk River, AB and Loretta (Lynn) Hirsche of Foremost, AB; son Tracey (Sherry) Douglas of Milk River, AB; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Bertha (Madison) Barrows, Mary (Eddie) Lee and Lena Booth; brothers John (Lillian) Degenstien and Louie Degenstien; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Besides her beloved husband George, Katie was predeceased by her parents Valentine and Frances Degenstien, infant daughter Carol and son George; 2 grandsons; 1 great-grandson; sisters Betty Pozdnekoff and Phyllis Douglas; brother-in-law Fred Douglas and sister-in-law Phyllis Degenstien.

Katie loved all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; her little dog Pepsi, her stray cats and her yard which was always beautiful.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, February 16, 2007 at MARTIN BROS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 St. South, Lethbridge, AB, with Reverend May Sanders officiating. Interment to take place in Milk River Cemetery.
