Katherine "Kathy" Barker

Katherine “Kathy” (Madge) Barker of Coaldale, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the age of 66 years.    

She is survived by her loving husband Michael Barker of 23 years; 4 children Julie (Brent) Woods, Jennifer Johnston, James Gage, Nicole (Travis) Coleman; 17 grandchildren Seth, Cody, Tessa, Shelby, Ryan, Brent, Isabelle, Levi, Abagail, Leah, Gavin, JJ, Reagan, Tiernan, Riley, Emilly and Alexa; great-grandson Odin; sister Deborah Bednarski; brother Lorne (Darlene) Johnston; nieces and nephews John, Dawn (Stan), Kelly, Kyle and Erin as well as many loved friends.

Kathy was predeceased by her father John Johnston; mother Eva (Earl) Thurier and her granddaughter Katelyn Needham.     

Kathy’s friends and family will remember her together in a private family gathering.
