With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our sister, mother, niece, cousin, and friend Kate Marie Bengry on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the age of 39, surrounded by all the love of her family.
Kate lived her life in her own unforgettable way. She had a contagious laugh that could brighten any room and a unique sense of fashion that reflected her vibrant spirit.
Kate had a remarkable artistic and creative talent in drawing as well as in her writing and found joy in expressing herself through creativity. She found peace in nature and had a deep love for animals.
Kate had a love and curiosity for the natural world and one day dreamed of pursuing her absolute love of marine biology.
Those who knew Kate knew she loved fiercely. She believed in honesty, offered tough love when it was needed, and was never afraid to tell you exactly how it was. Beneath her strength was a compassionate heart that was dedicated to all those who kept a special place in her heart.
Kate was predeceased by her parents, Brent Bengry and Karen Ball, who she cherished so much.
Kate leaves behind her greatest blessings in her life, her daughters Zahara and Sophie Bengry, who were and always will be the light of her world. Kate will be forever lovingly remembered by her siblings, Mark MacDonald (Leah) and Amanda MacDonald (Daryl), along with her beloved nieces and nephews, Kiara, Ashton, Emery, Paisley, Pryce, and Hadley, whom she adored so much.
Kate also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends, and her fur babies, who will all miss her deeply.
She will be forever missed and forever remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM, on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 Street South, Lethbridge, AB.
