Karlo Cernetic

MR. KARLO CERNETIC of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Angela Cernetic, passed away peacefully at St. Michael's Palliative Care Centre on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the age of 81 years.

Karlo was born May 13, 1929 in Nadanjeselo, Slovenija to Franc and Marija Cernetic. Dad was fluent in many languages, mainly Slovenian and Italian. He was a very hard worker throughout his life. Being a proud Canadian, Dad shared many stories of their journey from Slovenija to Canada. His stories continued about his work experiences and later about his favorite pastime - their yard and garden. Dad could make anything grow and the wonders of his garden and fruit trees were amazing for others to see and share.

Besides his loving wife Angela of 54 years, Karlo is survived by his daughters; Inez (Karlo) Malik and Marina (Colin) MacArthur, his son Karlo (Shaylene) Cernetic, grandchildren; Karolina (Vincent Hétu) Malik, Karlo Malik, Keely Cernetic and Bradley Cernetic, his brother Ivan in Slovenija, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

He was predeceased by his parents Franc and Marija Cernetic, his sister Franca, and brothers Franc and Jo
