It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karen Ann Danforth on May 11, 2026, at St. Michael’s Health Centre surrounded by her loved ones.
Karen was born on April 23, 1953, in High River, Alberta. She was a loving mother and a truly sentimental soul whose greatest joy in life was the people she loved. She had a passion for being in the kitchen and loved baking.
She treasured time spent with her family and friends and held close the memories and small moments that made life meaningful. Her kindness, gentle heart, and deep love for those around her will be remembered always.
She is lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Cleo, Kaylene (Darryl) and Wendy (Ron); her grandchildren, Samantha, Matthew, Joshua, Cameron, Austin, Marcus and Brooklynn; and her great grandchildren, Arian, Memphis, Eleanor and Weston, who will all forever carry her love and strength with them. She is predeceased by her infant son, Alan.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the memories she gave us, the lessons she taught us, and the love she shared so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Cremation has been entrusted to Martin Brothers Funeral Chapels.
