MRS. HELEN KAMPEN of Coaldale, beloved wife of the late Jake Kampen, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the age of 89 years.

Born, raised and educated in the Ukraine, the late Helen Kampen came to Hepburn, SK in 1948 and relocated to the Coaldale,AB area in 1949.

Helen is survived by her daughter Helene (Dario) Tonin; step-daughter Helen (Heinrich) Unger; step-son Jacob (Erna) Kampen; brothers John (Mary) Braun and Jake (Gertrude) Braun; sister Elizabeth Klassen; brother-law John Klassen and sister-in- law Edna (Peter) Neufeldt; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their families.

Helen was predeceased by her first husband Peter Klassen; second husband Jacob ""Jake"" Kampen; parents Johann and Maria Braun; step-daughter, Elizabeth Tschechow; sister Mary Klassen; brothers William and Dietrich Braun; and brother-in-law Dave Klassen.

Viewing will be held between 7:00pm and 8:00pm on Monday, January 30, 2012 AT MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the COALDALE MENNONITE CHURCH, 2316 17 Street, Coaldale, with Pastor Don Bergen and Mr. George Klassen officiating. Interment will be held in the Coaldale Cemetery, Mennonite Section.
