Jules Amie Lehouillier, beloved husband of Gaye Lehouillier, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the age of 93 years.
Along with his wife Gaye, Jules is survived by his children, Suzanne (Mike) Burke of Calgary, Pat (Deann) Lehouillier of Lethbridge, Danielle (Rick) Gruninger of Lethbridge, Jackie (Don) Berglund of DeWinton, Lise Lehouillier of Sept-Iles, QC, Paulo (Diane) Lehouillier of Quebec City, QC, and Michel Lehouillier of Pont-Rouge, QC; his 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, and his son Richard.
Jules was born in 1919 in the County of Bauce, Quebec. He served his country in both WWII and the Korean Conflict. While stationed in Wainwright, AB in 1950, he met Gaye. Jules took his discharge in Calgary in 1957. They remained in Calgary until 1968 when Jules was offered the position of Financial Aide Officer at the newly formed University of Lethbridge. He remained at the U of L until his retirement in 1987. Jules enjoyed travelling to tropical locations, his favorite being Maui. He also enjoyed golfing and being outdoors.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, May 17, 2013 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL | 610- 4th Street South, Lethbridge. A family interment is to follow at the Mountain View Cemetery.
