Judith Gschaid

MRS. JUDITH DIANE GSCHAID of Lethbridge passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the age of 67 years.

Judy was born and raised in Lethbridge where she also raised her children. She was involved with the Boy Scouts and Girl Guides for many years. In 1992 she graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She worked for the Ability Resource Centre (Rehab Society) which gave her enjoyment and pride in helping others until her retirement this past January. In her retirement she continued to volunteer and help out in her community.

Judy is survived by her daughter Tracy (Darryl) Haakonson of Calgary; sons Cameron (Crystal) of Vilna, Warren and Tyler of Lethbridge; grandchildren Renee Dawn of Calgary and Jeffrey (Jacquie) of Westlock; mother Al Vargo; sister Peggy (Bruce) Plausteiner; brothers Robert (Shirley) Vargo, and Darin Vargo; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. She is predeceased by her father John Vargo.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge.
