Joseph Horhozer

It is with great sadness that we announce the last member of the Alberta Ranch Boys, Joe Horhozer passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the age of 89, beloved husband of Everal of 61 years.

Joe met the love of his life Everal, when he went to apply for a job at Supina Merchantile. The two most valued things in his life were his family and music.

In addition to being part of the Alberta Ranch Boys, Joe also entertained on a local TV Show on CJLH TV called The Country Capers. In his retirement, he spent countless hours volunteering playing his accordion at local hospitals and nursing homes until he was unable to do so. Joe also was a long time member of St. Basil's Choir, Knights of Columbus, as well as The Hungarian Oldtimers Society.

Besides his loving wife Everal, Joe is survived by his daughters Melodee Mutch, Shelley (Rae) Flanagan; sister Matilda Kerluk; granddaughter Molly Flanagan; grandson Elliott Flanagan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joe was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Katie Horhozer; sister Elizabeth; brother Chester; and sister-in-law Darlene.
Joe has now rejoined the Alberta Ranch Boys and are now back as one, playing in heaven.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00AM, on Monday, October 25, 2010, at the MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joe's honor to the Alzheimer Society of Lethbridge, 402, 740 - 4 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta, T1J 0N9.
