John Hribar

MR. JOHN HRIBAR, beloved husband of Johanna Hribar, passed away peacefully on June 25th , 2010 at the age of 82 years. He leaves in passing his loving wife Johanna and 2 sons, Bart and Peter of Calgary, AB, two sisters Ann (Steve) Dimnik and Toni (Mirko) Ambrozic, and one brother, Bart (Betty) Hribar all of Lethbridge, one sister-in-law, Mia (John) Buys and two brothers-in-law, Joe and Adrieann (Sharon) Van Thiel. John also leaves family throughout Canada, USA, Slovenija and Argentina.

John was born in Zlato Polije, Slovenia, February 29, 1928. The family moved to Austria in 1942 and immigrated to Canada (Cranford, AB) in 1949. They moved to Lethbridge in 1951. John was predeceased by his parents Antonia and Jernej of Lethbridge and one brother, Stanley, of Hamilton, Ont.

John was an avid musician. He loved playing many instruments in numerous bands. He played organ, piano and accordion. John was the director of the Slovenian Choir where he played the organ. John was a parishioner of St Patrick's Catholic Church for over 50 years.

Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday, June 28, 2010 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge, led by Francis and Cybele Noronha.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at ST. PATRICK'S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 318 10th Street South, Lethbridge with Father Tim Boyle, celebrant.

Interment at Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge, Alberta.
