JOHN UNO ERICKSON, beloved husband of the late Ada ""Babs"" Erickson, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2007, at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital. John was born on July 25, 1909 near Medicine Hat, Alberta.

For the most of life John lived in Lethbridge where he was an active member of the Lethbridge Antique Car Club, Ham Radio/Quarter Century Wireless Club, and a devoted member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Before moving to Lethbridge from Camrose, John spent most of his life farming near the Miquelon Lake area. He completed public and high school education and received diplomas in cats and tractors mechanics, retail business management and higher accounting. John was Supervisor of Provincial Parks in southern Alberta for the Government of Alberta and built numerous parks including Fish Creek in Calgary. He held numerous directorships throughout the province of Alberta ranging from Director of the Chamber of Commerce, Camrose to director for the Alberta Dairyman's Association and Chairman of the Agricultural Advisory Committee, University of Alberta. Most will remember John for his involvement in the Quarter Century Wireless Association and the L.S.C.O. Radio Club. We will always remember his call letters VE6NB. He celebrated 75 years as a government licensed ham radio operator in May of this year. John was a life member of the Lethbridge Seniors Organization and had many avid hobbies such as photography and rebuilding his 1929 Whippet. His Whippet was his pride and joy in which he would frequently travel to many international car rallies. Despite his age John continued to bowl, golf, and travel. He enjoyed the competition and more-so the fellowship. John will be missed dearly.

John leaves to celebrate his life, daughter Karen Lewko, son-in-law Darrel Lewko, grand-daughter Candace Lewko and her son Aiden, grandson Todd Lewko and his wife Karen and her three children Adam, Brendon, and Chanteal, all of Lethbridge and numerous nieces and nephews.
