John Dempster

Mr. John Frederick Dempster of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Betty Dempster (Nee Poley), passed away peacefully at the Foothills Medical Center in Calgary at the age of 89 years

Dad is survived by his children, Joy Warren (Charles), John Jr. and Heather; grandchildren, Tyler, Jason, Kelsey, Matthew, Joy, and Carson; great grandchildren, Jakob and Shae; nephew, Brian, and niece, Lisa Dempster.

Dad was very involved in many sports and with coaching kids in the community.

After retiring in 1989 (34 years of service) from John Labatt Brewery, mom and dad moved to Calgary.

In his later years, baseball became his passion, playing for over 24 years in Calgary, Florida, and California.  Beyond sports, dad was involved in the Masonic Lodge (past President), Shriners Pipes and Drums, and the Canadian Legion.

Dad could be the life of the party, singing, dancing and entertaining at any opportunity. 
Dad will be sorely missed by his family and friends. 

Marilyn Lee was a blessing in disguise for the last 2 years as an awesome companion for my Dad.
