John Bowley

JOHN OLIVER BOWLEY of Coalhurst, Alberta beloved friend of Marcella Dolinski, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2012 at the age of 68 years.

John was born in Frensham, England and moved to Canada with his family at the age of 3. John had spent most of his life living and working in Southern Alberta. John worked for the Government of Alberta in Water Management until his retirement in 1996. He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 273 Coalhurst. John enjoyed travelling, golf, camping, fishing and spending time at the lake (CWRC Boat club) with family and friends.

Besides his loving friend Marcy, John is survived by his extended family, Brenda MacMillan and her children Jason and Karmyn , Daryl Dolinski, Aunt Vi Bowley, cousins Gail (Wilf) Mack, Kari (Barry) Jarvis, Brent Mack, Ed (Donna) Bowley, Melanie (Jason) McDonald, Linda (Brett) Duncan, Mark (Laura) Bowley as well as their families, all of Carberry, Manitoba. Also cousin Sheila (David) Bidwell and their families of Hampshire England. John was predeceased by his parents Oliver and Mable Bowley, brother David and his wife Diana.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 6:00pm and 8:00pm on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 St. S. Lethbridge, Alberta.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL. Interment to follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
