John Barg

On Monday evening, July 2nd, John clasped the hand of Jesus and walked into the presence of God. He was welcomed by his wife Sarah, two children, Peter and Elfriede, his parents and many siblings. They are celebrating a wonderful family reunion, probably with coffee and zwieback.

John was married to Sarah for more than 70 years. They had five children whom he loved deeply. John is survived by his brother Peter (Edna), three children, Annalee (Hugh), Bernhard (Connie), and Karin, daughter-in-law Lorraine, 6 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Family and friends will long remember his love of history and aptitude for practical problem solving, his generosity and strong work ethic, and his unshakeable faith in God. John's quiet and steady presence will be sadly missed.
