Joe Dimnik

MR. JOSEPH ""JOE"" DIMNIK of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Frances Dimnik, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2007, at the age of 84 years.

Joe was born, raised and educated in Slovenia. He married Frances in Austria in 1948 and came to Canada in 1949 to Raymond, AB, moving to Lethbridge in 1950. Joe started working for the Department of Public Works for the Provincial Government in 1966 and continued to work there for 22 years. Joe resided in Lethbridge until his passing.

Besides his loving wife Frances, Joe is survived by his siblings, Mitzi (John) Fekete, Rev. Sister Branka Dimnik, Janez (Katica) Dimnik, Steve (Ann) Dimnik and Peter (Marie) Dimnik; brother-in-law Lojze Petric; sister-in-law Ivanka Dimnik; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; sisters Pepca and Cilka and brothers Martin and Anton and sister-in-law Zorka Dimnik.

Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at 7:00PM on Monday, June 25, 2007 at MARTIN BROS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at ST. PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 318 - 10 Street South, Lethbridge, with Father Tim Boyle celebrant. Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
