Joan Boyer

JOAN BOYER (Russell), beloved wife of Jim Boyer passed away on Friday July 30, 2010 at the age of 60 years, following a brave battle with cancer.

Joan is survived by her devoted husband Jim; her children David Travers of Vancouver and Tara Travers of San Francisco; grandchildren Jessica and Evan Travers of Vancouver; brother Ron Russell of Edmonton and sisters Sandra Russell of Lethbridge and Rosalind Goduto of Calgary. Joan was predeceased by her mother Constance (Connie) Russell.

Joan was born in Lethbridge on November 20, 1949 where she attended school and started her family. Joan moved briefly to Edmonton and returned to Lethbridge and married Jim on September 8, 1990.

Joan leaves behind many friends that she valued so closely through the 23 years she worked at Maple Leaf /Burns. Joan will be missed by all who loved her and will be remembered for her kindness and unselfish ability to help others.

Please join us in celebrating and honoring her life at 4:00 pm on Friday August 6, 2010 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge. Keeping with Joan's wishes the gathering will be casual and informal.
