Jean Piro

Jean Piro passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 24, 2014, with her family by her side, after a lengthy illness. She was just four days short of her 76th birthday. Jean was predeceased by her loving husband Mike of 47 years, her parents, Alfred and Alice Olsen, and her sister-in-law Margaret Armstrong.

She will be sadly missed by her children Deb (George) Brown, Michael (Connie) Piro, Shauna (John) Bosch, and Jan (Pam) Piro; and her grandchildren Lindsay, Jonathan, Brandon, Reese, Derek, and Owen.

Jean resided in Shaughnessy until the passing of her husband Mike. She then moved to Golden Acres Lodge, and finally transferred to St. Michael's Health Centre. Thank you to the staff of both facilities for their caring and compassionate care of Jean.

Jean was a loving Mom and Grandma and touched the hearts of all who knew her.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge, with Pastor Tom Peterson, officiating. The interment will be held at Mountain View Cemetery.
