Jean Grieve

MRS. JEAN LOGAN GRIEVE of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late David Grieve, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at the age of 106 years.

Jean was born on May 12, 1903 in Linlithgow Shire, Scotland to parents James and Jane Dow.

Jean was admired and loved by family and friends. She was known as a strong, humble, kind and gentle loving person of high values. She leaves her family to treasure a lifetime of many wonderful memories.

Jean was an avid gardener and loved to sew, knit and crochet. She had a fondness for animals as well as a passion for dancing and singing. Her cheerful personality and wit will be truly missed.

Jean is survived by her daughter Shirley Lueck of Edson, AB; daughter-in-law Byrt Grieve of St. Albert, AB; sons David (Doreen) Grieve and Thomas (Karen) Grieve both of Fillmore, SK; seventeen grandchildren; sisters Liz Pavan and Kate Dow both of Lethbridge, AB; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren and their families.

Besides her loving husband David, Jean was predeceased by her parents James and Jane Dow; son Jim Grieve; brothers Alec, Bob, Tom, Jim, David; sisters Annie, Janet and son-in-law Harvey Lueck.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 12:00PM and 1:00PM, on Monday, December 14, 2009, at the MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 St., S., Lethbridge, Alberta.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM, on Monday, December 14, 2009, at the MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 St., S., Lethbridge, Alberta. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
