MRS. JEAN DOGTEROM of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. John William Dogterom, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at the age of 94 years.
Jean was born in Woodstock, Ontario on August 7, 1914.
Jean was the oldest and longest standing member of the First Baptist Church. Baptized in 1925 she remained active with the church in many departments but her time with the Cub Scouts was her most favorite.
Jean is survived by her daughter Jane (George) Goddard of Calgary; son George (Kathleen) Dogterom of Toronto; and grandchildren Angela (Chad) Wells, Lacey (Patrick) de Kock, Michael (Lynne) Dogterom, Jonathan Dogterom, Lisa Dogterom; as well as 8 great-grandsons.
Besides losing her loving husband John on February 9, 1987, Jean was predeceased by both of her parents, 3 sisters, and 3 brothers.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, on Monday, July 20, 2009 at the FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, 1614 - 5 Ave., S., Lethbridge, AB, with Pastor Ron Harris officiating.
A private family graveside service was held in the Mountain View Cemetery.
