Jannetta "Jackie" Slingerland

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our dear wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter and auntie, Jackie Slingerland of Picture Butte, after a lengthy battle with cancer on April 15, 2014 at the age of 39 years.

Jackie is survived by her beloved husband Ken Slingerland; her children Jocelyn, Kendra, Riley, Daneka and Kayleigh; her parents Cornelis & Jannie van Velthuizen; sisters Coba van Velthuizen, Hennie (Gerard) van de Bruinhorst, Elly (Alex) van de Bruinhorst, Ditta (Tony) Liefting; brothers Maas (Michelle) van Velthuizen and Gijs (Geraldine) van Velthuizen; parents-in-law Tony & Margaret Slingerland; sisters-in-law Rita (Erik) Dunsbergen, Jane (Henry) van Hierden, Nancy (Scott) vanden Berg; brother-in-law Jack (Tina) Slingerland; Ken's grandmother Mrs. vanden Hoek as well as many numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Condolences will be held at 7:00pm - 8:30pm on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the NETHERLANDS REFORMED CONGREGATION of Lethbridge| Highway 3, between Lethbridge and Coaldale.

The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the NETHERLANDS REFORMED CONGREGATION of Lethbridge, with Reverend P.L. Bazen officiating. Interment will follow at the Archmount Cemetery.
