Ms. Janice “Jan” Baron, of Warner, Alberta, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the Milk River Long-Term Care Centre at the age of 74 years.

Janice was born on February 22nd, 1951, in Hamilton, Ontario, to parents Bessie and Millen Pearson. In 1980, Jan made the move to Alberta, where she built a life centered around family, community, and the simple joys that meant the most to her.

In her quieter moments, Janice enjoyed a warm cup of hot chocolate and watching the shopping channel—simple pleasures that brought her comfort and joy.

She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Tanner (Amanda) Baron, Jesse (Paige) Baron; her partner Ross Orcutt; her ex-husband, William Baron, with whom she shared her sons; her cherished grandchildren, Chloe, Charlie, and Riley Baron; and her brothers, John Pearson, Jody Pearson, and Gary Pearson. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Warner Elks Hall - 210-4th Ave, Warner.
