MR. JIM GAM HALL WONG of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Pui Ching Wong, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at the age of 79 years.

Jim Gam Hall Wong was born on June 19, 1932 in Toishan China. He first arrived to Canada in 1951 and attended Central School in Lethbridge to learn English. In 1966 he went back to Hong Kong where he met and married his loving wife Pui Ching Wong. They raised 5 beautiful children and were actively involved and dedicated to their community as members of the Chinese National Association for over 49 years. Family was always first for Jim, he was happiest when he was fishing and on camping trips with his children. Jim and Pui Ching owned and worked at OK Laundry and Dry Cleaners since 1970. In 1999, Jim retired leaving him with plenty of free time to build invaluable friendships where going for coffee was a daily ritual, as was going on fishing trips, relaxing while listening to Chinese Opera and pursuing an active and healthy lifestyle bike riding and walking.
He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

Besides his loving wife Pui Ching Wong, he is survived by his daughters; Judy (Steve) Smith, Jennie (Ken) Johnson, Linda (Mike) Mikado, and Lily (Ted) Harms, his son Arthur (Jeannette) Wong, grandchildren; Amber, Maddie, Takara, and Kaylyn, and his sister Norma.

He was predeceased by his parents Joe and Mary Wong.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00 and 8:00 pm on Friday, December 10, 2010 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 11 2010 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge.
