MR. JAMES ""JIM"" MAWHINNEY of Lethbridge, beloved companion of Barbara Gardiner, passed away on May 7, 2007 at the age of 67 years.

Jim was born in Vancouver, B.C. He spent his career as a drilling and blasting contractor in the development of mines, highways, and hydro projects throughout B.C., Yukon and N.W.T. He was known well in his field as ""Diamond Jim"". When Jim retired he enjoyed spending endless hours building and developing his garden railroad.

Besides his loving companion Barbara, Jim is survived by his children David Mawhinney, Shannon Mawhinney; grandchildren Jaycee, Colten; brothers Alf, Bob; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Jim is predeceased by his sister Benita Mitchell and his daughter Jamie.

A Private Family service will be held at a later date.
