It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Jacob Vanden Hoek, beloved husband of Maria, on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at the age of 92 years.
Besides his loving wife Maria, Jacob is survived by his 3 daughters Margaret (Tony) Slingerland, Rita (John) Kreft and Jackie (Hans) Kuperus; his sons Tony (Vicky) Vanden Hoek and Dinant Vanden Hoek; 23 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
He was predeceased by his parents Kornelis and Maatje Vanden Hoek, 8 brothers, 5 sisters, his son Kasey, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Condolences will be held from 7:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, August 30, 2013 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the NETHERLANDS REFORMED CONGREGATION, Highway 3, Lethbridge with Reverend A.H. Verhoef officiating.
