Mr. Bill Ivison passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at St. Therese Villa on October 17, 2011 at the age of 82 years.

Bill is survived by four children: Bob (Judy), Kurt (Connie), Lynn (Doug) Myers, and Sandy (Jim) Wolosuk. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Chris, Breanna, and Jenna; and his sister Betty Criswick.

Bill was born and raised in Saskatoon SK and received his initial university education at the U of S. After moving to Lethbridge in 1960, he continued his education and received a Masters of Science from the University of Wyoming. Bill was an educator all of his professional life. He taught high school in Kamloops, Prince Albert and at Winston Churchill High School in Lethbridge. He moved on to Lethbridge College where he retired after teaching there for 19 years.

Music and performing arts were a big part of Bill's life. With his sister Betty, Bill spent his youth performing an accordion and tap dancing act in Saskatoon. He was later a founding member of the Lethbridge Symphony and played the bass in the orchestra for many years.

Bill was a lifelong learner. He was an avid reader and was always studying some new topic that interested him.

Bill also loved the outdoors - especially the mountains and the oceans. He loved to hike in the mountains, walk on the beach and could often be seen walking all over Lethbridge. He believed walking cured everything.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Bea from Lethbridge Family Services and the staff of St. Therese Villa for the wonderful and compassionate care provided to Bill over the past few years.

At Bill's request there will be no service. Cremation has taken place.
