MRS. IRIS COOK of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Ray Cook, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at the age of 87 years.

Iris was born in Lethbridge to James and Olive Payne, oldest of two daughters. She married Ray on September 16, 1948, and together they raised nine children. They were active members of St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, where she was a member of the Women's Auxiliary and the Church Vestry. Mom was an avid supporter of the local Sea Cadet Corps. She was a loving and devoted mother and wife.

Iris was predeceased by her loving husband Ray, her daughter Linda, and her son Calvin.

She is survived by her children, daughter Diane (Andy) Donato and their sons Jason and Trevor, son Brian (Jean) Cook, daughter Jane (Terry) Kirkman and their children; Jason and Tara, son Gary (Debbie) Cook and their sons Ryan (Winnie) and Glenn, son Peter (Janice) Cook and their children; Peter and Sherry, son Darren Cook, daughter Susan (Dick) Lutwick and their children Kendall and Justin, daughter Sharon (Kurt) Veer and their son Nickolas, daughter Patricia (Gary) Pohl and their sons Corey and Logan, along with many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Mavis (Peter) Turnbull and their children, Kelly, Russell, and James.

Family and Friends are invited to pay their respects between 10:00AM and 11:00AM, on Monday, November 30, 2009, at the MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM, on Monday, November 30, 2009, at the MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 St., S., Lethbridge, Alberta, with Canon James Robinson, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the (Diabetes- address).
