Irene Waltonn

(DOROTHY) IRENE WALTON, nee Shreeve, passed away on the morning of January 15, 2007, in her 89th year. She is survived by two nieces, Joan (Tom) Ferguson and Diane (Wayne) Swanson, both of Victoria; one nephew, Ryan (Irene) Shreeve of Vancouver; six great nieces and nephews; and three great-great nephews. Irene was predeceased by three brothers, Wilfrid, Leonard and Stanley Shreeve.

Irene was born on November 17, 1918, in Lethbridge, where she remained for her entire life. She worked for many years in the Canada Customs Office and in her spare time enjoyed playing the piano and attending her church. She was also an avid dog lover and took great pleasure in caring for the many dogs she owned, over the years. Irene's colourful sense of humour will be missed.

The families would like to thank Dorothy Van Buuren for her care and support of Irene, during her final years.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at MARTIN BROS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 St. South, Lethbridge, AB. Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
