Ian Van Seters

IAN JACOB VAN SETERS of Coaldale, beloved partner of Cheryl Oates, passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the age of 37 years.

God saw you getting tired,

The cure was not to be

He wrapped you in his loving Arms,

And whispered, ""Come to me""

You suffered much in silence,

Your spirit did not bend

You faced your pain with courage,

Until the very end

You tried so hard to stay with us

Your fight was not in vain

God took you to his loving home

And freed you from your pain

A golden heart stopped beating,

Two working hands at rest

God broke our hearts to prove to us,

HE ONLY TAKES THE BEST

Besides his beloved partner Cheryl Oates, Ian is survived by his son Zachary Yvenel Van Seters, his parents Arie and Margaret Van Seters, his sisters; Nicole (Michael) Van Seters, Angela (Ryan) Baroldi, and Melanie (Jamie) Edwards, and his brother Christopher Van Seters, as well as his nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at TRINITY REFORMED CHURCH, 1100 40th Avenue North, Lethbridge, with Pastor Ian Crooks, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ian's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 317 10 Street South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 9Z9.
