Honess Norma

NORMA HONESS of Lethbridge, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at the Lethbridge Extendicare, at the age of 83 years.

Born at Lomond October 8, 1924. Norma married Gib Honess on December 15, 1944, together they farmed at Lomond until they moved to Lethbridge in 1981.

Norma's main interest was her family. She was a great cook, she loved gardening, plants and music. She enjoyed all kinds of card games and belonged to the Bridge Club. She liked traveling with Gib, family and friends. She also clogged, did needlework and decorated Ukranian Easter eggs. Norma was also a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Norma Honess is survived by her daughters Marlene (William) Thurlow, Barbara (Max) Brauer; one son Wesley (Judy) Honess; grandchildren Alan, Kevin (Jamie), Treena (Murray), Tanya (Corey), Quentin (Shilo), Boe (Kim), Cori, Curtis (Tawnya), Mitch (Kelsey) Faren and Riley; great grandchildren Tyson, Kolson, Ethan, Kayla, Caley, Jessie, Spencer, Kailyn, Kristy, Bradley and Jordan; one sister Alma Haaland; sister-in-law Phyllis Huff; son-in-law Lloyd Field; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Besides her loving husband Gilbert, Linda was predeceased by her parents Lena and August Huff; daughter Linda; sister Hilda Teasdale; brothers Fred, Henry, Leonard and Arthur Huff, and one grandson-in-law Dan O'Connor.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:30am, on Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at the VULCAN CEMETERY, Vulcan, AB.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, on Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at LUTHERAN CHURCH OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD, 2406 - 11 Ave, S., Lethbridge, AB, with Pastor Kevin Powell officiating.
