THOMAS CHARLES HOLLWEY of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Marlene Hollwey, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2013 at the age of 69 years.
Tom was born in Vancouver, BC on October 22, 1943. He grew up in the Lower Mainland and moved to Princeton, BC, as a teenager.
While living there he met the love of his life Marlene to whom he was married for forty-seven years.
Tom is also survived by his daughter Katherine, son Matthew (Catherine) and his grandchildren Christian, Alejandro and Izabella and his sister-in-law May Campbell. Thomas was predeceased by his parents William Hollwey and Kathleen Hollwey (nee Grant).
As a young man, Tom was an avid outdoorsman and worked on cattle ranches in BC. After their marriage, Tom and Marlene moved to Calgary where he worked for Motorways and Triline.
Tom and his family moved to Lomond in 1981 where he owned an operated the general store and Alberta Treasury Branch agency for 32 years.
Tom was admired for his patient, caring ways, for his personal service, and for his dedication to the community. He will be greatly missed by all.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013 at LOMAND COMMUNITY CENTRE | Lomond, Alberta.
