Herman Van Lent

Van Lent, Herman October 29, 1925 ~ March 31, 2014 Herman Van Lent of Magrath, Alberta passed away March 31, 2014 at the age of 88 years. Herman is survived by all those that he loved including his loving wife of 61 years, Joane; his children: Chris (Jayne), Bill (Rhonda), Joanne (Randy), Jerry (Cathy), Anthony, Jacky (Jack), Dorothy (Tony); grandchildren: Matthew, Kris (Ashton), Kalla, Garrett and Jadine; several extended family in Canada and Holland as well as numerous other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Herman's life will be held Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 1:00 pm at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4th Street South, Lethbridge, AB. Herman bravely served in the Indonesia War and was a true Veteran. He enjoyed many outdoor activities including golfing and gardening. He was a very proud father and grandfather. Special thanks to the nursing staff at the Raymond Hospital for their compassionate care of Herman the last few days.
