Henry Wiebe

MR. HENRY WIEBE passed away peacefully in Calgary, Alberta on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the age of 85 years.

Henry is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Margaret; his children Shirley (Paul) Lafrance, Chris (Cliff) Ivey, and Ken (Noellie) Wiebe all who reside in Manitoba; as well as his step children Richard (Carol) Siemens, Stanley (Cordula) Siemens, Beverly (Bruce) Campbell and Carrie (Brent) Keough. He also leaves behind 5 sisters and 2 brothers; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many friends.

Henry was born in Steinbach, Manitoba to Abram and Margaret Wiebe. He resided most of his life in that area, coming to Lethbridge, Alberta after marrying Margaret. Most of his working life he worked as a self-employed carpenter, building custom homes. He also enjoyed being involved in activities related to church ministry; serving on many church boards as well as providing pastoral care and spiritual support to those who needed assistance. He viewed life with an optimistic attitude, always seeking to live life to the fullest.

A celebration of his life and memorial service will be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba on March 8, 2013.
