MEAKINS, HELENA GEORGINA (Halvorson, Stepenoff) May 20, 1923 - September 15, 2012 HELENA MEAKINS passed away at the Coaldale Health Centre on September 15, 2012. She will be fondly remembered & sadly missed by her children Linda (Gerald) Reasbeck of Ottawa, Ontario; Doreen (Dennis) Erker of Edmonton, Alberta; Gary (Linda) Stepenoff of Phoenix, Arizona; Keith (Karen) Stepenoff of Lethbridge, Alberta; her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren; her sister June Evans; & many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands Nick Stepenoff & Bill Meakins, her parents, Helmer & Lena Halvorson & 11 siblings. A private family service will be held at a later date. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to all of the dedicated staff and volunteers at the Coaldale Health Centre for the tender care, comfort & compassion which they showed to Helena as her health declined. The respect & dignity that was shown to her was exemplary.
